Our Property offers great training and stabling facilities and excellent quality grass all year round. We have 200 acres of free draining and well maintained land and provide a clean, healthy, spacious environment for horses.

The mares are bought home to the stud in their last trimester where they are regularly monitored on a daily basis. They are fed during this time to ensure they are getting the essential vitamins and minerals when demands by the unborn foal are at their greatest. Foals are raised at the stud in a herd environment where they learn the necessary social skills to develop a sound character.

The foals are frequently handled. They commence a strict worming program, have their feet trimmed regularly, are hard fed to maintain growth development and get vaccinated for tetanus/strangles. All foals are paddock weaned at the stud, then join the weanling group with a baby sitter. As yearlings they are moved to another part of the stud, where they develop stamina, strength and co-ordination on more open country.

All horses are then broken in as 3yr olds, are lunged, free jumped and begin their flatwork training. In their 4 yr old year they will attend training days, and go to a few small shows.

Overseas clients can enjoy our luxurious accommodation for the duration of their visit. We can also arrange recreational activities in the Bay of Plenty area for our guests.
