Mount View Sport Horses are very proud to introduce for the 2009/10 breeding season, Cervelt MVNZ. This 2005 colt is a product of our studs breeding philosophy, using the best possible European stallions over top quality mares to produce exceptional sporthorses.
We believe Cervelt MVNZ has outstanding qualities as both a breeding stallion and as a competition horse. His pedigree is filled with top performance horses. He has begun training and has an amazing work ethic. His movement is superb. He shows excellent elevation at the trot and canter. In jumping, his scope and athleticism is very impressive. We know he has enough qualities to be a serious contender for the top sport.
Cervelt MVNZ is by the Olympic Holsteiner stallion Chin Chin. Chin Chin had a very impressive jumping career and is held in very high esteem throughout Europe and America. He competed at the highest level for 5 years winning five consecutive times in the North American league of the World Cup circuit. He competed at Seoul and Barcelona Olympics, and started in the first World Equestrian Games in Stockholm. These are a few of the highlights of Chin Chin's wonderful career where his scope, character and suppleness always aided his determined amateur rider. He has since died and his semen is now unavailable to breeders. We feel very privileged to have bred to Chin Chin.
Cervelt MVNZ's dam is the Oldenburg mare Charming Princess. She was "Champion of Foals" in Belgium. She was later imported to NZ by Mount View where she competed to 1.50m level with much success before beginning her breeding career.
Charming Princess is by the Holsteiner stallion Cordeur, out of the mare Helianthus. Helianthus produced a son by Damiro, who competed at the Sydney Olympics for Hungary.
